I'm IcyChoc Sundae (don't forget the capital C). Fanfic author, reviewer, IF programmer and general weirdo. I am also addicted to ice cream.

I am one of those bizarre people who will watch Star Trek Voyager with glee, then run upstairs to bed and read The Hound of the Baskervilles while listening to ABBA on my MP3 player. My interests are about as varied as you can possibly imagine. I tend to procrastinate by doing things like making a website when I should be working on my novel. I also have a short attention sp- ooh, shiny!

This page is currently just a portal for my profiles, nothing else.

My Fan Fiction

I write fan fiction. If you don't know what that is, you are probably lucky. Here's my FanFiction.Net profile.

Though I've dabbled in several fandoms, most of my current work revolves around the computer game The Settlers: Rise of an Empire. Yeah, bizarre, but I like it. If you don't know it (which is likely), it's a RTS game in which you build up medieval cities across several continents in an attempt to build an empire and crush your rival, the evil Red Prince. My stories focus around the six playable characters - the knights Kestral, Marcus, Alandra, Elias, Thordal and Hakim. I ship Marcus/Alandra and Kestral/Hakim, if you're wondering. Whoops, just spoiled the surprise of my next work. Oh well.

 My Interactive Fiction

Interactive Fiction is, for those who don't know, a type of computer game where you play the main character of the story and control their actions. Sounds like pretty much any other game, right? Well, there's a catch: it's all in text. For more detailed information on the genre, click here

I review games casually for IFDB; click here for my profile page. Amongst the works I have reviews are Graham Nelson's Jigsaw, Eric Eve's Blighted Isle, and Emily Short's Savoir-Faire. All excellent games, if you're wondering. I've also reviewed some not-so-excellent games; ironically, they are the hardest to review. Being tactful while pointing out flaws at every turn is difficult, to say the least. Check out my profile to see if I've succeeded.

I haven't actually written any IF. Yet. Plans are in the works for a first game, that may or may not see the light of day in IFComp 2010. It's light fantasy (as a lot of IF seems to be), set in a semi-Mediterranean archipelago and involving government intrigue, slavery, and crowded plazas. Hopefully, it'll be decent; though I'll probably never write anything on the scale of the authors above.
